School Information

Low student to teacher ratios, a safe caring nurturing environment for your child to grow to be prepared for the future are some of what to expect at Bethesda Lutheran School.

Preschool
A curriculum of Bible stories, language arts, pre-reading and early mathematic concepts is followed. Daily free play and large motor skills time. A child must reach the age of three years before September l to be enrolled in the three-year-old preschool program, and must reach the age of four years before being enrolled in the four-year-old preschool program. All children must be toilet-trained.


Full Day Kindergarten
A curriculum of Bible stories, language arts, reading and mathematics is followed. Daily lunch, free play and large motor skills time included. As per state law, a child must reach the age of five years before September l to be enrolled in Kindergarten. Academic testing may be required to aid in determining Kindergarten readiness.


Grades 1 through 8
The curriculum includes Christian religion and weekly worship, language arts, reading, mathematics, science, social studies, fine arts, music, physical education and Spanish. Enrollment in grades 1-8 is contingent upon successful completion of the prior grade. Academic testing may be required to aid in determining grade placement. Parents will be asked to sign a written request for the transfer of all school records from the previous school, including the most recent report card and most recent achievement test results.


Childcare
A limited amount of Full time Childcare applications are available in the Preschool and Kindergarten levels.Full time includes a daily lunch. Before-school care and after-school care are available to all levels, preschool through grade 8. Childcare is available to all students on predetermined days when school is not in session and the Childcare Center is open (no Federal holidays). Daily Hot Lunch Program
Daily nourishing hot lunches are available.
